Electrical Engineer – Solar Rooftop Installation Sector

Main Responsibilities

• Evaluate solar and storage technologies with respect to project goals, including modules, DC components, inverters, racking, BESS containers, BESS balance of plant equipment, and medium voltage systems.
• Review and incorporate electrical studies including ampacity studies, load flow, reactive power capability, short circuit, grounding and arc flash.
• Develop electrical drawings including determination of the impact of additional loads on the existing electric distribution system, securing permits and rights-of-way and performing post-construction follow-up.
• Comprehend and propose all documents related to electrical engineering (e.g., reports, specifications and drawings) that are suitable to the solar rooftop standard of VN and IEC standards and installation method.
• Perform load analysis for electric distribution substations and feeders and develop remediation plans for facilities that warrant corrective action.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes and operations to control costs and improve productivity.

Requirements

• Engineering background, prefer automation / electrical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in solar rooftop / renewable energy sector.
• Able to communicate in English and Vietnamese, plus Chinese speaking is an advantage.
• Required experience in Project management, design such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, Sketch up and BIM, Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and solar systems such as PVSyst, Helioscope and Solargis.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, project management and a high sense of emergency.
• Good knowledge of HSE standards.
• Flexible and able to travel across Vietnam for projects.
