Structural Engineer – Solar Rooftop Installation Sector

Main Responsibilities

• Able to perform engineering deliverables and structural analysis modeling for solar rooftop installation.
• Complete structural design calculations for solar racking structures for project submittal and product development purposes.
• Develop structural drawings including plan views, equipment plans, section views, elevation views, building layouts, bill of materials and conduit / raceway plans.
• Develop substation foundation and structure drawings.
• Develop technical equipment and construction specifications and work scopes.
• Comprehend and propose all documents related to structural engineering (e.g., reports, specifications and drawings) that are suitable to the solar rooftop standard of VN and IEC standards and installation method.
• Configure existing and new product lines for projects considering site-specific solar, wind, seismic, and geotechnical conditions.
• Interface with partners, sub-contractors, and all disciplines.

Requirements

• Engineering background, prefer civil / structural engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in solar rooftop installation / renewable energy sector.
• Able to communicate in English and Vietnamese, plus Chinese speaking is an advantage.
• Required experience in Project management, design such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, BIM, Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and solar systems in advantage such as PVSyst, Helioscope and Solargis.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, project management, detail orientation, clear reporting skills, high sense of emergency.
• Good knowledge of HSE standards.
• Flexible and able to travel across Vietnam for projects.
